DOMENIUL STREHAN

The Strehan Domaine is a hospitality project initiated by a family of experienced entrepreneurs and long-time clients of ours, driven by their desire to keep the connection with their native places and their past alive.

Located in the village of  Tohani, in the renowned Dealu Mare wine region, the Strehan Domaine was conceived as a tourist complex nestled in the midst of the vineyards, including a renovated noble mansion providing accommodation services, a winery, and an event venue. These are complemented by their private labels of wines and traditional local foods with the goal of maximizing the region's uniqueness.
Business challenge

When it comes to the experience and options it aims to offer to customers, the Strehan Domaine is a unique concept. However, tourism in the area is highly dynamic, with growing competition, and the need for differentiation is increasing. At the same time, the founders' ambition is to transform all components of this complex concept into standalone businesses, capable of operating and growing independently of each other. With these objectives in mind, we embarked on the process of defining the brand positioning and architecture direction capable of aligning with the business vision, and then putting them into action through the story and visual identity of the Strehan Domaine and its sub-brands - Eglantina Manor, Strehan Winery, and Târgovețului Barn.

A valuable heritage transformed into a story about people, nature, and life

To support the development of the integrated Strehan Domaine concept, as well as the various businesses within it, independently of each other, we needed a brand idea that would bring them all under the same roof and be relevant to their audiences, helping them stand out in the competitive landscape. We felt that the admiration for the past is what best captures the essence of the Strehan Domaine and its sub-brands, and we built the entire positioning around this idea.
We then gave it substance through the stories of the Strehan Domaine and each of its landmarks - Eglantina Manor, Strehan Winery, and Târgovețului Barn. Thus, with a deliberately artistic and slightly archaic tone of voice, we presented the fascinating heritage that the Strehan Domaine aims to capitalize on and the unique experience promised to its visitors, with the entire concept becoming a tribute to people, nature, and life. 
A visual universe inspired by the charm of the past

To mark the brand architecture visually, we created a common graphic language in which the logo symbols represent the specificity of each brand through illustrations made in the same style, all featuring the common thread of the three grape grains found in each of them. Additionally, we used the same typography for all wordmarks.
In the case of the Strehan Domaine, the logo construction differs from the others, with the symbol placed above the wordmark, and the wordmark written entirely in uppercase, while the symbols for the Manor, Winery, and Barn are positioned vertically between the two words of the wordmark, intended to establish a visual hierarchy between the master brand and its sub-brands.

The Strehan Domaine, a symbol of returning to origins

The core of the Strehan Domaine's visual identity is the symbol, resembling a shoot. It incorporates elements of inspiration specific to the region, such as the almond tree and the grapevine. The well-defined roots represent the close connection to the place's heritage and history.
